The New York Knicks will open the 2017-18 season on the road against Russell Westbrook, Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 19, the league announced.
The Knicks will also host the first of five Christmas Day games when they play the Philadelphia 76ers at noon at Madison Square Garden.
Also on Christmas, the Cavaliers face the Warriors at 3 p.m.; the Wizards face the Celtics at 5:30 p.m.; the Rockets take on the Thunder at 8 p.m.; and the Timberwolves face the Lakers at 10:30 p.m.
New York lost both of its matchups against the Thunder last season, losing at home by nine and on the road by 11.
The Knicks and 76ers split their season series last year, and each game was decided by one possession. New York lost 98-97 on Jan. 11, won 110-109 on Feb. 25, lost 105-102 on March 3 and won 114-113 in the regular-season finale.
