Kristaps Porzingis declined to attend team exit meetings at the conclusion of the New York Knicks season, Ian Begley of ESPN reported on Friday night.
Citing team sources, Begley says that the two-year veteran and former first round selection is frustrated with the team's lack of direction. The Knicks failed to make the playoffs for the fourth straight season and only notched a 31-51 record.
The Knicks spent the 2016-17 campaign surrounded by controversy on and off the court. One of the more notable distractions included president Phil Jackson's rocky relationship with star Carmelo Anthony.
Anthony's future with the team is very much in doubt as Jackson admitted on Friday that the Syracuse product "would be better off somewhere else."
