Carmelo Anthony addressed the media in Oklahoma City on Monday after being traded from the Knicks to the Thunder, saying that he went from an "emotional rollercoaster" to somewhere he feels "wanted and appreciated."
"It happened so quickly, I had to make a quick decision," Anthony said. ... "This was a team, organization, and city" he had no problem coming to and being a part of.
Anthony said Russell Westbrook's loyalty to the city and the addition of Paul George helped convince him to waive his no-trade clause to join the Thunder.
Regarding New York, Anthony said there was "a lot of noise" and that he needed to "find some me time" to figure his situation out.
"I just want those fans to understand that this was a business decision," he said. ... It happens. It's sports."
