Knicks rookie Mitchell Robinson (ankle) will make his return to the Knicks for their preseason finale on Friday night, head coach David Fizdale told reporters Wednesday.
Robinson had to be helped off the court last Wednesday night after spraining his right ankle during the second half of the game against the Nets. He did not return.
The injury happened when Robinson stepped on Rodions Kurucs' foot.
The 20-year-old Robinson will spend some time in the G League this season, Fizdale said, due in part to the fact that he'll need more minutes than the team can give him at the pro level.
However, Fizdale said Robinson would also get time with the Knicks.
