The Knicks made a stunning trade on Thursday that sent Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee and Trey Burke to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and two future first-round picks.
While the trade sent shockwaves through the league, it also opens up the necessary cap space for the Knicks to sign two max contract free agents this offseason.
