Kristaps Porzingis and Willy Hernangomez are thriving for their respective countries (Latvia and Spain) at this year's FIBA EuroBasket as they prepare for this year's NBA season.
Porzingis notched 28 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in Monday's action against Great Britain. In a loss on Saturday, where he scored 27 points, Porzingis noted that he could to better for his team.
"There's much to improve, like field-goal percentage," he told reporters after the game. "I missed eight shots from 16 I took, so I missed a lot."
Through two games for Spain, the 6-foot-11 Hernangomez has averaged a double-double with 13.5 points and 10 rebounds.
Forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas, who is playing for Lithuania, so far is totaling 16 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the tournament.
