Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis and guard Frank Ntilikina are among five players who will miss Monday's preseason game vs. the Houston Rockets.
Porzingis, who did not play the second half of Sunday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, met with team doctors to discuss a sore right hip. Head coach Jeff Hornacek told the New York Post's Marc Berman that Porzingis is having trouble lifting his leg.
"I'm not too concerned," Porzingis told reporters after Sunday's game. "It's just a sore right hip is what the doctor described, and it's nothing to be too concerned about. But tomorrow the doctor is going to look at it and we'll have [a] more clearer [answer]."
Ntilikina, the team's first-round pick from this year's NBA Draft, played in last week's preseason opener but will miss his third straight game due to a right knee contusion.
The Knicks will also be without Mindaugas Kuzminskas due to a sore left calf, Doug McDermott due to a sprained left pinky finger and Luke Kornet due to a sore left hamstring.
Ron Baker will return to the lineup after missing time due to a sprained left ankle.
