Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith tied for the team lead in scoring with 20 a piece. Anthony was 6-13 from the field with five assists, five rebounds and did not play in the fourth quarter. Smith shot 9-14 from the floor and had six assists and two rebounds.

Tyson Chandler had 12 points and 10 rebounds and is now 37-44 from the field in his last seven games.

Jordan Crawford led the Wizards in scoring with 17 points off the bench while shooting 7-17 from the field. Kevin Seraphin had 13 points and 10 rebounds as well.

The Knicks bench outscored the Wizards bench 53-37, and outscored the Wizards starters 53-50.

This was the Knicks ninth straight win against the Wizards.

This is the first time the Knicks have won more than 10 games in the month of November since the 1972-1973 season.

The Knicks are now 6-0 at home and under Mike Woodson are 17-1 at MSG in the regular season.

Not even the extreme and mythical powers of Robert Randolph and the Family Band could help the Wizards tonight against the Knicks. This is a win that has become old habit this season at the Garden as the Knicks play an ok first half before putting the hammer down in the second. This team has done a nice job bouncing back after the Nets loss and even gave Melo the fourth quarter off in the last two wins over the Bucks and Wizards.

I want to lead off with J.R. Smith tonight because after only scoring seven points the past two games, he got back on track and helped the Knicks put this game away. During an interview at halftime he mentioned that he wasn't happy with only being up 11 and came out in the second half like a man ready to take the Wizards out of it early. He played smart, in control and even had a fantastic finish on an ally oop on a great pass from Pablo Prigioni. Smith is allowed to slump like any other player but to have him break out tonight was nice to see and now we wait to find out if he can keep it up on Sunday.

Carmelo Anthony once again helped get the Knicks going early in the game and earned the fourth quarter off as the Knicks had another blowout on their hands. A line from Anthony of 20-5-5 is very nice, especially after only playing 28 minutes. His effort and talents are really showing right now as he has to be a serious contender for MVP, even with the season only 15 games old.

Pablo Prigioni is playing some great basketball right now and with Steve Novak and Rasheed Wallace also stepping up, the bench is becoming an issue for the Knicks opponents again. Prigioni is the best I have seen at disrupting the inbound play after a basket and is about as unselfish a player as we have seen. Even his shot, which was off to start the season, is starting to fall for Pablo and that will make him even more dangerous as the season goes on. With the loss of Jason Kidd, the onus on Prigioni to step up was going to be big and he has done exactly what the Knicks needed him to do in Kidd's absence.

J.R. Smith was the only Knick to play more than 30 minutes as the starters all got to sit out the fourth quarter. If you are wondering, I don't expect any substantial sanctions from David Stern to follow. He, like all of us, loves it when the Knicks win, he just doesn't want to admit it.

The Wizards are a bad team. I mean really bad. Like Washington Generals bad. I will say that they have a future with a back court of John Wall and Bradley Beal and what is looking like at least a top four pick coming up in the NBA Draft. But, the days of Gilbert Arenas and the playoff teams from the mid 2000's the Wizards had must seem like 100 years ago. At one point they did lead the Knicks 6-2 and did win their last game against Portland which is a good thing, but it's gonna be a rough season in DC and there is 68 games left to play.

This was a nice and easy win for the Knicks over an over matched team like the Wizards and with a couple of winnable games coming up against the Suns and Bobcats, another winning streak could be on the horizon. The bench has responded after the bad game against the Nets, Melo is still playing at an MVP level and the loss of Jason Kidd has been minimal so far. An 11-4 month of November is a great way to get the season started and now we will see if December is just as good to the Knicks.

Coming up next, the Knicks will be home once again on Sunday afternoon as they take on Goran Dragic, Michael Beasley and the Phoenix Suns, at 12:00 PM. The game will be on MSG
