In Case You Missed It.....

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks in scoring once again, this time with 21 points while shooting 7-16 from the field, but was 6-10 from inside the arc.

Rasheed Wallace scored 10 points off the bench, this time entering in the third quarter, one of seven Knicks that scored in double figures.

J.R. Smith had 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists to finish second on the team in scoring for the second straight night. He averaged 18.5 points in the two games vs Philly.

Jrue Holiday led the 76ers with 17 points but was a -17. The only Sixers player that was a plus was Kwame Brown, with a +2.

They were 19-19 from the line, the most free throws attempted by the Knicks without a miss during a game since 2006

The Knicks bench outscored the Sixers bench 43-28

This was the first time in team history they started a season with three straight double digit victories

The Knicks 3-0 start is the best start since the 1999-2000 season.

The Knicks fell behind 9-0 and 14-4 in the first quarter before taking over the game on both ends of the floor. Consider that the 76ers were outscored 106-74 the rest of the way on their own court after the fast start was not good for them, but really good for the Knicks.

Carmelo Anthony carried the team on the offensive end again in the first half and the early parts of the third quarter when the game was close. Thaddeus Young just woke up in a cold sweat thinking about defending him on the low post.

J.R. Smith had a dunk that I will be proud to tell my grandchildren that I witnessed in person. Pablo Prigioni to make the pass before hand that looked like he was hoping a Knick would just pick it up also helped make the dunk even better.

Although Jason Kidd, who was great on Sunday, didn't play much tonight, Raymond Felton and Prigioni didn't miss a beat running the offense to a 110 point night. Felton and Prigioni had 27 points, 14 assists, four rebounds (three! offensive boards) on the night combined.

The Knicks bench continues to be just fun to watch. 43 points off the bench tonight, led by Smith and Rasheed Wallace, whose entrance into the game was met with the same excitement you had on Christmas morning as a kid, had a nice night including a buzzer beating three to end the third quarter.

Ronnie Brewer had his best game as a Knick. 13 points and 10 rebounds, but also the defense and the hustle he shows each night makes you believe he can be the most unsung of the off-season moves made by the Knicks

In attendance tonight at the game, I noticed plenty of Knicks fans and empty seats in the Wells Fargo Center. I know its a Monday and the Eagles were playing at the same time, but the energy from Sixers fans that did show up was lacking even when the game was close.

Coming up next is three well deserved days off before they take the court again at MSG to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night at 7:30 pm
