Free agent G/F Evan Turner has agreed to a four-year deal with the Blazers worth $75 million, reports Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
The Knicks had been planning to meet with Turner, reported Ian Begley of ESPN.
Turner has played five seasons in the NBA, with the last two coming with the Celtics. He's alternated between shooting guard and small forward.
He averaged 13.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game on 36.5 percent shooting this past season.
The Knicks' only shooting guards on the roster are second-year player Langston Galloway and the recently acquired Justin Holiday. Arron Afflalo recently opted out of his contract and Sasha Vujacic's contract expired at the end of last season.
