Now Commenting On:

Knicks point guard Pablo Prigioni says he needs another week to recover from a hairline fracture of his right big toe, meaning he could return during the team's Texas swing beginning Jan. 2 in San Antonio.

"The problem is when I run," Prigioni said after shooting free throws on Thursday. "I tried to run. When I push with my big toe it's sore, so I have to wait a couple more days and then keep working."

With both Raymond Felton (groin) and Prigioni out, the Knicks are down to third-string point guard Beno Udrih, who seemed to lash out at his critics after playing badly in Wednesday's blowout loss to Oklahoma City.

As for Prigioni, he said he's "feeling better," but doesn't think he'll play in the home-and-home this weekend with Toronto.

"I'm feeling better definitely," he said. "I think I need a couple more days. I need maybe one week more. I will try every day and I want to come back soon.

"I hate to be out. I prefer 10 times to be with the team. "
