The 6-foot-3 guard from the College of Charleston outperformed all of his peers in the combine's shooting drills by knocking down all 21 of his timed midrange attempts and hitting more spot-up threes from NBA range than well-known shooters like Jimmer Fredette and Jon Diebler. He also recorded a 37-inch maximum vertical and the second fastest lane agility time of the 54 prospects invited.

Goudelock's impressive display led to plenty of workout requests and now he has a packed schedule.

"I've already worked out for the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder," Goudelock told HOOPSWORLD in a phone interview. "I've scheduled workouts with the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Charlotte Bobcats, Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, New Jersey Nets and some others."

Goudelock has ridiculous range...Jimmer range. I saw him in Portsmouth and he's a great scorer. He was the best pick and roll shooter there by a mile.

Despite over a month of trade rumors and speculation, both Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose remained with the Knicks following the passing of the NBA's trade deadline yesterday.

When asked about Phil Jackson's vision for the Knicks moving forward, Anthony told reporters he was still unclear on the team president's plans for the future.

"Not now. To be honest with you, no," Anthony told Al Iannazzone of Newsday. "I think they were kind of planning on a trade on the trade deadline. Whether they were trying to make moves, I think that was one plan. So now it's they've got to get back to the drawing board and come up with another plan about the future of this team."

Knicks quiet at deadline 00:08:08
DNL discusses the Knicks' decision to stay quiet at the trade deadline and Charles Oakley attending Wednesday's game in Cleveland.

The Knicks did not make any moves prior to Thursday's NBA trade deadline, which passed at 3 p.m. ET.

They had been engaged with the Timberwolves regarding a trade that would've sent PG Ricky Rubio to New York for Derrick Rose

In addition to Rubio, the Knicks had reportedly been asking the Timberwolves for F Nemanja Bjelicareported Marc Berman of the NY Post.

As the deadline approached on Thursday, some in the Knicks organization were ready to trade for Rubio without a second asset being sent back, but the Wolves refused, reports Marc Stein of ESPN.

When reached for comment, an MSG spokesman issued a statement saying that, "Mr. Dolan's contributions are a matter of public record."

While it's not unusual for team owners to support candidates for public office, Dolan's support of Trump is in stark contrast to what many players and coaches around the NBA think about the president.

With the NBA still coming off its All-Star Weekend, the Knicks have not played since losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder last Tuesday. But alas, the late additions of Carmelo Anthony and Willy Hernangomez to the weekend's festivities gave the team's fan base a little bit more to be excited about and invested in as things went on in New Orleans.

When just about everyone in the NBA world collides for a few days, talk about the Knicks is never too far away. Speculation regarding the team's future, especially with the trade deadline steadily approaching, is running ramped as we speak. With that in mind, here are three things to ponder around this team in the week that follows.

Before he joined the Knicks last summer, Rose played several seasons with the Chicago Bulls under Tom Thibodeau, the current Timberwolves coach.

Several teams have reached out to the Knicks about Rose, according to Begley. The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.

Rose, 28, has averaged 17.7 points, 4.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 48 games in his first season with the Knicks. He is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Sacramento Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins (15) moves the ball against the Los Angeles Lakers during the second half at Staples Center.
Sacramento Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins (15) moves the ball against the Los Angeles Lakers during the second half at Staples Center.

Keith Schlosser, SNY.tv

Reports of a trade that will send DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans have already sent major shockwaves through the NBA. Initially, pondering whether or not the Kings got fair value in return for the outgoing star may not appear to have any immediate impact on the Knicks. But alas, it sure does.

Following the deal, Langston Galloway will reportedly be waived and speculation is abound that Tyreke Evans could be let go as well. It would make sense if his expiring contract was merely included as a formality to make the deal work financially. With that in mind, the deal boils down to Buddy Hield, a top three protected 2017 first rounder and a second rounder for Cousins.

Could the Knicks have made a legitimate play at acquiring Cousins? It may not have been such a farfetched concept. Knowing now what the Kings ultimately settled for, offering a deal centered around Derrick Rose and New York's 2017 first round selection probably would have garnered consideration. Adding Willy Hernangomez certainly would have sweetened the pot. This would have meant the Knicks would have been left without two of their top valued future assets, but Cousins is arguably the best center in the NBA. Still just 26 years old, New York could have built a future around him in Kristaps Porzingis. His contract only runs through next season, but it makes sense for marquee players to re-sign in the Big Apple.

The Long Goodbye 00:02:51
The DNL crew discusses if Wednesday's game against the Thunder was Carmelo Anthony's last game as a member of the Knicks.

Keith Schlosser, SNY.TV:

Carmelo Anthony is is headed to the All-Star Game. As the oldest participant, he's still holding his place amongs the league's best players. Both Kristaps Porzingis and Willy Hernangomez (New York's biggest assets for the future) will take part in the weekend's festivities as well, participating in the Rising Stars Challenge. The Knicks have representation with feel-good stories to follow. All seems well, at least for a few days.

The next time the Knicks play, however, will be after the NBA trade deadline has passed --- five hours later, to be exact. Coincidentally, they'll face the Cavaliers. Will Anthony be in town suddenly donning a different uniform?

Kevin Love's injury may make that difficult for the teams to accomplish. As it is, Love and his current contract isn't exactly the ideal return value for the Knicks. If and when they deal Anthony, New York needs flexibility, assets, future building blocks, etc. Love doesn't exactly fit that bill.

The news of Kevin Love's injury may put a wrench into a potential deal between the Knicks and Cavaliers surrounding Carmelo Anthony, but it also opens the door back up for Anthony and/or Kristaps Porzingis to once again receive All-Star Game consideration.

Whereas Anthony has been a mainstay at the midseason event for nearly a decade, Porzingis is just starting to knock down the door that leads to association with the game's top talents. As demonstrated in the fan, player, and media voting, the 21-year-old has increasing popularity.

As the ever-quickly budding centerpiece and potential superstar of this hungry Knicks squad, Porzingis has plenty of things going in his favor, including an injury to 76ers big man Joel Embiid...

Former Knick Greg Anthony, who spent four seasons in New York as a teammate of Charles Oakley, believes players will look at the Knicks in a different light because of the recent treatment of Oakley and Carmelo Anthony.

"It sure as hell ain't gonna help..." said Anthony in an interview with Business Insider. "It's one thing to have your struggles on the court, but this is kind of becoming a domino effect where everything that can go wrong is going wrong for the organization. And it creates a tremendous distraction for the players that are still battling and fighting and figuring out a way to get into the postseason."

The Knicks are facing a rebuild, something the franchise has historically not done slowly through the draft. This past offseason, New York traded for Derrick Rose, while committing over $120 million to Joakim Noah and Courtney Lee in an attempt to improve the team quickly. Anthony believes the situation involving Oakley will not do the team any favors in trying to attract free agents in the future.

The Knicks had an empowering win over the Spurs to cap off the weekend. Beyond that, however, the dysfunction has only continued. The rumors surrounding Carmelo Anthony continue to swirl. Frustration around the team's feeble defensive effort continues to set in. The mystique around what Phil Jackson's next remark may be (or how he chooses to communicate it) keeps everyone on their toes. And as if all of this wasn't enough, James Dolan played a part in a bizarre sequence of events this past week, reminding all that he is never truly far enough away.

As the trade deadline approaches and the losing continues, there are question marks around this team. Can the Knicks build off of the win against San Antonio, or will they fall back into their poor ways? Here's a look at what the team will face in the week ahead.

Questions about team culture: One could argue that the poor culture is going to affect the Knicks for years to come. Clearly, the lack of positivity makes it difficult for players already in the Big Apple to perform at an optimal level. What's more, all that has gone on as of late could certainly impact the decisions of prospective free agents and scare them off from donning orange and blue. For years, James Dolan has been criticized for his poor way of handling things and a lack of overall basketball knowledge. While he has stayed out of Phil Jackson's way, he proved this week with Charles Oakley that he himself will never be far enough away not to play a role in something here or there. That's not a good feeling.

Knicks F Carmelo Anthony does not want to be a potential injury replacement during the NBA All-Star Game, according to Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News.

With the injury to Cavliers F Kevin Love, a spot might open up, but Anthony prefers to rest.

"I would love to take this break and just utilize this break and my body and my mind and just get away from everything," Anthony said. "I could utilize this break. If they call me I'd consider it. But I would love to utilize this break."

GEICO SportsNite: Knicks win 00:02:39
Jeff Hornacek, Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose react to a big Knicks' win after they defeated the Spurs on Sunday afternoon, 94-90.

Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points and the New York Knicks salvaged the finale of a tumultuous five-game homestand by beating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 on Sunday.

With Latrell Sprewell and a number of other former Knicks in attendance two days after Charles Oakley was banned, the current team pulled out a defensive performance from its past, limiting the Spurs to 36 percent shooting.

That came just two nights after the Knicks yielded 131 points in a dismal defensive performance against Denver, which came after losses to Cleveland and both Los Angeles teams to start the homestand.
