Now Commenting On:

"I’ve been getting great, wide-open shots in the corner, wide-open shots on the wing. And I just haven’t knocked them down.”

-Iman Shumpert after last nights win over the San Antonio Spurs, commenting on his season in contrast to last night.

Obviously this was an amazing night for Shumpert who hasn't had much to smile about this season. What's interesting about this comment is that it's 100 percent accurate. If you go back and look at the number of uncovered shots Shumpert has missed this season, it's horrifying. He's been getting good looks all year and simply not converting them.

Some guys like Andrea Bargnani haven't hit shots because of the lack of ball movement. Bargnani is a player that can't create his own shots and always needs that final pass to score. Shumpert can, and did, score in many ways. He can drive to the basket, dunk and hit outside shots. On Thursday night, he lived up to the potential that a lot of Knicks fans hoped for this year. Now, it's on him to deliver more of these performances in 2014.
