Members of the Knicks coaching staff and others in the organization view point guard Trey Burke as a possible free agent acquisition, reports Ian Begley of ESPN.
Burke averaged five points per game and 1.8 assists per game in 57 games for the Wizards last season. Burke was drafted by the Timberwolves in 2013 and was immediately traded to the Jazz, with whom he spent the first three seasons of his career.
The 24-year-old put up better numbers during his tenure in Utah, averaging 12 points and 4.2 assists per game. He started 111 of his 210 games in Utah.
Burke won the 2014 Skills Challenge alongside Damian Lillard when the two edged out Victor Oladipo and Michael-Carter Williams.
