According to Jared Zwerling of Bleacher Report, if the Knicks continue their losing ways over the next three to five games, Madison Square Garden Executive Chairman James Dolan may finally pull the trigger and fire Woodson, if he deems the team out of contention.
NYK source thinks next 3-5 games key for Woody. "Dolan could make knee-jerk reaction the minute he feels they're really out of contention."New York (21-36) currently sits 5.5 games out of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, but faces a tough schedule over the next three games.

The Knicks travel to South Beach to take on the defending champion Miami Heat on Thursday before hosting the Golden State Warriors and taking on the Chicago Bulls. The team also has to face the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves on the road, and is a combined 1-2 against those squads so far.
The "knee-jerk reaction" that Jared reported is getting absurd. This season has been full of disappointments, but if Dolan waits until March to pull the plug, that is simply adding fuel to the fire. If Dolan actually wanted to make a move, he would have done so when the Knicks were still in relative playoff contention...you know...two months ago. If he makes the move during the next 3 to 5 games I'll be more confused than ever.
