Though the official start date of NBA free agency isn't until July 1, any rumor or tidbit of information that revolves around Kyrie Irving will be dissected to find any notion as to where he might land for the 2019-2020 season.
On Wednesday, that included his latest Instagram post.
Irving posted a video of him speaking with his old middle school crossing guard from his days in New Jersey. Sharing a sentimental conversation, some Knicks fans might take into account his caption for the post that read, "Stroll with me Light Family! Home is where the heart lives and stays!"
Of course, home for Irving could be New York if he so decides this summer. The most recent report from SNY's Ian Begley is that Irving has not ruled out the Knicks as a possible destination to land. Celtics GM Danny Ainge also spoke today, saying there has been no indication to them that Irving doesn't want to return to Boston.
The Nets are also in play for the dynamic point guard, and in fact, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said Tuedsay that there were strong indications he was going to land in Brooklyn.
Either way, Irving walking down memory lane in New Jersey, with that specific caption, could be a hint that he wants to come back home.
