If Al Horford is on his way out of Boston, could Clint Capela be on his way in?

Multiple outlets reported on Tuesday that contract talks have broken up between the Celtics and the five-time All Star Horford, meaning Boston could now be in the market for a big man, much the same as the Knicks after both teams missed out on Anthony Davis.

The Celtics may have found their answer.

Sources have told SNY Insider Ian Begley that the Celtics and Rockets have recently had discussions about Capela.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski had reported earlier this offseason that the Rockets have made most of the pieces on their roster - except perhaps for James Harden- available in trades. Yahoo! Sports' Vincent Goodwill reported earlier on Tuesday that Chris Paul wants out of Houston, citing a strenuous relationship with Harden.

The 6-foot-10 center has gotten better in each of his five seasons with the Rockets. Last year, he averaged 16.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Capela has finished Top-10 in rebounding in each of the last two seasons, and finished second in the league in blocks in 2017-18 with 2.4 rejections per game.
