Still the Knicks are pleased with his progress, and though he is still experiencing soreness, Stoudemire believes he is nearing his return, telling Berman:
“The most important thing is we’re winning,’’ Stoudemire said. “That allows me to have more patience than if we were losing. Knowing I’m (close to) 100 percent, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m getting better and better each day.There's been some speculation that Amar'e could be ready for the Knicks' Christmas Day matchup with the Lakers, but it is looking more likely that he'll return to the court sometime the following week instead.
“I want to make sure I’m 100 percent. I’m not there yet but should be there soon. It’s how you feel. The better shape you get in - cardio is king - the better chance of helping.’’
