Now this doesn't guarantee that both will be lottery selections as 15 players get invited and who knows maybe one will slip, but it would appear neither will be around when the Knicks draft at 17. In my opinion, this draft is very top heavy. It's hard to imagine a player in this draft leap frogging into the lottery that is on the outside. But, of course, it's happened before.
This is going to be a big week for the franchise, but I agree with Alan Hahn that the late workouts this week may be a tad overblown. The Knicks have seen plenty of the players they love and will draft accordingly.
I just keep getting this feeling that Nikola Vucevic is very much in the picture. I've talked to several people who are convinced the Knicks go guard at 17, so they are doing a great job of covering up interest levels. That screams to me that they have several things planned up their sleeves. And I'm excited by that thought.
Thompson and Singleton rank very high on their board and would select either if one were to fall to them at 17.
Based on the green room selections, however, that doesn't appear likely.
