Now Commenting On:

So it sounds like Doc Rivers is seriously considering leaving his post in Boston and in my mind if that happens the Knicks have to make a phone call as to his availability.

Who knows what Rivers' mindset is. Does he leave and yearn to be potentially paired with Chris Paul in Los Angeles with the Clippers? Does he take the year off, rest his mind maybe do some TV and then patiently wait for his next opportunity? He may not have that opportunity here this year, although I'd replace Woodson with Rivers in a heartbeat.Rivers is a plus coach who knows how to lead and make the proper playoff adjustments that win games something that Woodson at times struggled with against Frank Vogel and Indiana. Vogel schooled Woodson far too often during the series on adjustments, match ups and the utilization of Roy Hibbert.

Woodson is signed through this season so an opportunity could present itself in 2015, one that has seen many more questions arise. Can the Knicks repeat as Atlantic Division champions and thus earning critical home court advantage?

In my mind the Rivers watch is officially on.
