After being drafted by the Knicks third overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, oddsmakers have given RJ Barrett the third-best chance to win the 2019-2020 NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

At +550, Barrett slots in right behind the two players drafted before him, former Duke teammate Zion Williamson and Ja Morant, according to OddsShark.com. Williamson's odds are listed at -135, far and away the favorite, while Morant comes in at +300.

Cam Reddish, the third Duke player drafted in the Top 10 this year, has odds listed at +5000, where he's tied along with Jaxson HayesTyler Herro and Mfiondu Kabengele

Barrett ranks just ahead of the fifth overall pick, Darius Garland, who is listed at +1500. Kevin Porter Jr. and Coby White, both listed at +1800, round out the top five.

While Kabengele and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (+10000) were both officially drafted by the Nets and given odds to win the award, the two were both traded in draft day deals to the Clippers and Pelicans, respectively.

If Barrett were to win Rookie of the Year, he'd be the fourth Knick in franchise history to take home the award and the first since Mark Jackson in 1988. Patrick Ewing got the honors in 1986 while Willis Reed won it in 1965.
