Things are not all that bad for the Knicks.
Despite missing out on big free agents and Zion Williamson in the NBA Draft, many are still high on the Knicks' young nucleus -- at least for the NBA Summer League.
According to the sportsbook oddsportal.com, the Knicks are the betting favorites to win the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which begins Friday night at 9:30 p.m. between New York and the New Orleans Pelicans.
Led by first-round draft pick RJ Barrett, the Knicks are favored at 8-1 odds ahead of Williamson and the Pelicans, who are listed at 14-1. The Portland Trail Blazers are also at 14-1 odds.
The Brooklyn Nets, meanwhile, are 30-1 odds.
In addition to Barrett, second-year players Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson are also expected to play for the Summer League team. Robinson was also recently invited to play for the Select Team at USA Basketball training camp in August.
