Without Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony and (unexpectedly) Kristaps Porzingis, the Knicks could only muster three quarters of contention and fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 88-101.
Despite lacking all of it's starpower, New York kept it close for the majority of the game. However, the playoff-bound Grizzlies began to pull away in the game's final stage.
Maurice Ndour played nearly 29 minutes and went 7-9 from the field. Courtney Lee went 7-13. The next highest scorer was Justin Holiday, who brought in only 5 points.
The Knicks suffered a similar fate on Thursday, failing to seal the deal after overcoming a late 12-point deficit against Washington.
With a win tonight, the Grizzlies have secured the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. Memphis has only earned 7 wins over the past 18 games and thus cannot advance to 6th or higher.
New York takes on Toronto this Sunday at noon and will conclude their season the following Wednesday versus the 76ers. Both games will take place at MSG.
