Though their respective teams will not be playing in the big game this season, imagine if the brothers meet in the 2014 Super Bowl.
The Giants and Broncos will be playing in the 2013 regular season, since Big Blue will be playing the AFC West this season.

The NFL, however, has confidence the Giants-Steelers game will go on this Sunday as scheduled. MetLife Stadium has not sustained any major damage, although the surrounding parking areas and racetrack got touched up and flooded.
According to John Brennan of northjersey.com: "PSE&G also is reporting damage to one of the sports complex?s power feeds along Paterson Plank Road."
Bush wrote the rap during training camp, specifically for the talent show that all rookies have to participate in, a rite of passage if you will around NFL circles. Both composer and lyricist of the tune, Bush said he wrote the song about his own life and how he?s fought to get where he?s at right now but in it, he used football as a metaphor. The song is played during pregame warm-ups at MetLife Stadium but rookie linebacker Demario Davis told The Jets Blog that the team often plays it on the road in the locker room to get themselves ready for the game.
?I?ve been playing music for a while; I don?t even really know how or when I first fell in love with music,? Bush told The Jets Blog. ?I guess in high school, it started when someone bet me that I couldn?t learn how to play the guitar and I did. Then one day, I started to teach myself the piano. From there it has only grown.?

Now, no one is happy. The Giants, along with the Jets, replaced the utilitarian Giants Stadium with MetLife Stadium, a $1.6 million food court and mall with a football field in the middle of it. The fan experience is a wonderful one. Everyone raves about it. Just one problem, though.....it's still in the swamp.
Travel to and from the game is lengthier than ever, even with the addition of a NJ Transit rail spur that shuttles fans in and out of places like Secaucus and Hoboken. The parking is also still a horror. Mike Philbrick, of the esteemed sports blog Grantland.com summed it all up this week after he attended the Giants-Cowboys game the other night:
GEICO SportsNite has coverage of Wayne Hunter's absence from practice last night. Rex Ryan, Nick Mangold and Aaron Maybin discuss the state of the team.
Last week: the Giants fell, 32-31, to the Jaguars in Jacksonville. The Jets were defeated by the Bengals in Cincinnati, 17-6.

What have you learned bout the PSL process several years in?
"People certainly expect more, and rightfully so, as they've had to pay a lot more money. Whether it be your parking situation or the traffic or your concessions or how they're treated while they're at the stadium, they definitely have higher expectations."
Kevin Clark of The Wall Street Journal recently outlined the decline in ticket sales and how it is leading the NFL to rethink its infamous "blackout" rule....
With declines in ticket sales each of the past five years, average game attendance is down 4.5% since 2007, while broadcast and online viewership is soaring. The NFL is worried that its couch-potato options?both on television and on mobile devices?have become good enough that many fans don't see the point of attending an actual game.

The Giants received keys to the city from Mayor Bloomberg in a ceremony at City Hall after a parade up the legendary Canyon of Heroes in Lower Manhattan.
?Thank you. Thank you very much. It?s wonderful to be a part of this great day. Only ? only ? could this happen in New York," head coach Tom Coughlin told the throng of joyous fans. "Only in New York. That?s why it?s so important and so wonderful to be and to have the opportunity to be the head coach of the New York Giants and play for the New York Giants because this is the greatest city in the world and it?s wonderful that we?ve returned the Lombardi Trophy to exactly where it belongs ? right here in New York.?
The game will televised on FOX. Kickoff is 1pm. Yes, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be calling the game.
The radio call can be heard on WFAN 660AM with Bob Papa and Carl Banks.
The prevailing notion about Sunday?s wild-card playoff matchup between the fifth-seeded Atlanta Falcons (10-6) and the fourth-seeded New York Giants (9-7) is that the southern-based, warm-weather, ?There?s no place like dome? Falcons, who have yet to win a game outdoors in a cold-weather locale this year, would welcome the expected unseasonably nice January conditions at the Meadowlands.
A closer look though, might suggest just the opposite, since the Falcons possess the better rushing game behind running back Michael Turner (1,340 yards, third-best in the NFL this year), facing a New York defense (ranked 19th in the league) which has often been susceptible to the run this year.

As I listen to the ringing of the bell in the intro of AC/DC?s Hells Bells, I always get goose bumps as it always reminds me of what Giant Stadium/MetLife Stadium is about: noise, passion and energy.
However, with the Giants moving into a newly constructed stadium, that mojo was lost as the Giants have been too passive and underwhelming and lost far too many games at home in the stadium?s two-year existence. Many of those losses have come via the head-scratching variety.
Tickets to sporting events are a luxury in this day and age. They are also a valuable commodity. Online ticket services have made it easy to unload and profit off of your assets.
Conversely, it also gives opposing fans an opportunity to gobble up huge chunks of real estate in your stadium for game day.

MetLife Stadium, the home of the Giants and Jets that opened in 2010 is still working out the kinks. That is to be expected. ?Local fans are still trying to feel the place out and to many, it does not feel like home.
We have our own theories of why home games don't have the feel of a home game and why fans are subject to an inexplicable malaise upon entering the place. The crowds for both teams are not as enthusiastic as they were in the previous venues. Opinions on the subject vary.

The Giants-Jets game, originally scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 27), has been postponed until Monday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. due to Hurricane Irene.
?Along with the NFL office and the Jets, we have closely monitored the hurricane and the forecast and its potential impact on our area for the past several days,? said Giants President and CEO John Mara. ?After conferring with (New Jersey) Governor (Chris) Christie, (Jets owner) Woody Johnson and (NFL) Commissioner (Roger) Goodell, we have determined the best course of action for the safety and well being of all is to move the game to Monday night.?

There will be no rail service to or from the Meadowlands for tomorrow's Giants-Jets game.
NYC is also planning on taking all mass transit out of service midday.
The game between the Giants and the Jets, originally set for 7pm tomorrow has been moved up to 2pm. Giants' CEO John Mara said it was "the right thing to do". Can't argue with him there. Folks here were freaked out on Tuesday when a 5.8 magnitude earthquake rattled the Big Apple sending thousands into the streets. With the tenth anniversary of the Sept 11 attacks just two weeks away, New Yorkers were already on edge...
Giants coach Tom Coughlin said he had not been keeping up with the news about the weather but had planned on catching up quickly. He also said the first team would at around "30-35" plays in tomorrow's game.

A state of emergency has been declared in both New York and New Jersey even though the most recent forecasts have downgraded Irene from a Category 3 storm to a Category 1.
"We moved the start time based on the weather forecast and to give everybody an opportunity to get home safely after the game," said Giants President and CEO John Mara. "There are, obviously, many issues to consider. Our players played a game on Monday night, the stadium personnel has to secure the building post-game and, most importantly, the safety and welfare of Giants and Jets fans. We felt like this is the right thing to do."

The venue will be known as MetLife Stadium. The agreement also makes the company the official insurer of the Giants, Jets and the building, and provides the company with 120,000 square feet of promotional space. Its name will be displayed on four signs outside the stadium.
MetLife is in advanced discussions with New Meadowlands Stadium to upgrade its corner sponsorship at the year-old facility to a full naming-rights deal. A source close to the deal described the negotiations as "very advanced, but not complete."
Other sources familiar with the matter emphasized that while a deal to name the home of the New York Jets and Giants, and the site of the 2014 Super Bowl, MetLife Stadium was not finalized, discussions have progressed enough that those inquiring about naming rights in the last month have been told that they were not available, though a cornerstone sponsorship could be. Several sources said MetLife is paying about $7 million a year for its cornerstone deal, and that the naming-rights package being considered would average between $17 million and $18 million a year.
As far as prizes go ? MetLife Central Countdown Card holders will have the chance to win the following big time prizes on Sunday:
