The Bisons finished a four-game sweep of the Norfolk Tides behind a nice night from Mark Cohoon. Actually, it was Cohoon's best start in AAA: 6 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K. I watched a the last few innings of Cohoon's start and for the most part he looked "on." In the innings I saw, the changeup and curveball were working for him, but he was having a little trouble locating his fastball.
Nick Evans (.306/.358/.468) was 1-for-4 to run his AAA hitting streak to 17 straight games. Remember, that's five games in May and 12 in June sandwiched around his big league time.
Some other injury updates from the Bisons' broadcast:
Fernando Martinez: He was held out of the game, as a "precaution" for his aching right knee. He had played in five straight games after missing five games last week when his tendonitis flared up.
Zach Lutz is suffering "concussion-like symptoms" after getting beaned on Friday. That's just too bad. Dude's hitting .326/.417/.551 in 27 games in AAA.
