Mets SS Amed Rosario, who is dealing with a groin issue, said Wednesday that he expects to return to the lineup later this week.
Rosario, who hasn't played since this past Saturday due to what was initially irritation in his left knee, said the knee feels better but that compensating for it might have led to the minor groin issue.
A precautionary MRI on Rosario's leg/groin on Tuesday came back clean.
The 22-year-old Rosario was hit in the hip by a pitch during Saturday's game and then felt something "weird" in his knee shortly after while scoring from second base.
He told manager Mickey Callaway he could've kept playing, but was pulled from the game.
