Could the Mets trade Noah Syndergaard before the July 31st deadline?
According to a report from MLB.com's Jon Morosi, the Mets are not actively shopping the righty, but other teams have reached out to see if Syndergaard would be available.
Morosi reports the Milwaukee Brewers are one of the teams said to be interested in the 26-year-old. Morosi also reports any interested team would have to pay a 'heavy price' in order to acquire Syndergaard, who is under contract through the 2021 season.
The Mets' right-hander has been inconsistent this season, posting a career-worst 4.68 ERA.
SNY Insider Andy Martino has previously reported that Syndergaard isn't a total lock to stay with the team, but it is far more likely that the Mets explore trading him again this winter.
