We could be inching closer to Tebow Time in Queens.

Tim Tebow, 31, is likely to start 2019 at Triple-A Syracuse, but Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen would not rule out the possibility that the former Heisman Trophy winner could be on the Mets' Opening Day roster, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

Tebow showed progress in his second minor league season last summer before it was cut short when he broke the hamate bone in his right hand in July, ending his season.

He hit .273 with six home runs and 46 RBI in 84 games for the Mets' Double-A affiliate, Binghamton Rumble Ponies, and earned a spot in the Eastern League All-Star game.

Van Wagenen previously represented Tebow before accepting the Mets' GM job.
