LF Nick Evans was 3-5 with a double and 5 RBI. Evans (pictured) has hit safely in each of his four games with the Bisons since returning to Buffalo after he cleared waivers following being designated for assignment, going 6-14 (.429) with three doubles. He has a funny-looking eight game hitting streak going since he had hit safely in his last four games with the Bisons in May before he was called up to the Mets.
INF Michael Fisher extended his hitting streak to 13 games by going 2-for-4 with a double on Sunday. In his last 13, he's hit .308( 16-for-52) with four doubles. Fisher is hitting .283/.361/.420 for Buffalo while playing eight games at second and 28 at third. The 26-year old has walked more in Buffalo than he ever has before. The Mets picked up Fisher, a former sixth-round pick of the Braves, as a minor league free agent last year, and started him in Savannah. He's hit his way rapidly to AAA.
Pat Misch's Sunday start was the best by a Bisons' hurler all weekend: 7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K. Those peripherals are pretty much in line with what he's done all year: 50.2 innings in AAA in 2011, Misch has 21 strikeouts against 11 walks.
Josh Stinson Saturday: 3 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 BB, 1 K, 1 HR. Stinson's in the middle of a nightmarish June: 16.05 ERA, 12.1 IP, 25 H, 25 R, 22 ER, 14 BB, 7 K. In his 61.2 innings at AAA, he's walked 33 and fanned 32.
Mark Cohoon Friday: 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 K, 1 HR. Cohoon in AAA: 20 IP, 26 H, 20 R, 20 ER, 5 HR, 10 BB, 8 K. Two amazing things: Cohoon ran a K/BB of 3.13 in 2010 and 11 in AA, in AAA it's 0.8; in AA he had a HR/9 of 0.9, in AAA it's 2.2.
Dylan Owen (2-3, 5.00) was originally listed as Sunday's starter, but was skipped.
