Mets infielder Asdrubal Cabrera left Sunday's game against the Reds after being hit by a pitch in the right ankle in the sixth inning. The Mets said Cabrera had a contusion and X-rays showed no damage.
Cabrera, who was pinch-hitting for starter Jacob deGrom, had just returned to the Mets lineup Saturday after leaving Thursday's game with a tight right hamstring and sitting out Friday.
He spent time on the disabled list earlier this season when he dealt with a thumb injury.
The 31-year-old is hitting .268 for the Mets this season in his second season in New York.
