Mets manager Mickey Callaway said INF Asdrubal Cabrera is slated to play on Sunday after he "tweaked" one of his knees during the Mets' loss to the Brewers on Saturday.
Cabrera was evaluated by a trainer after a play at second base. Luis Guillorme pinch hit for Cabrera in the eighth inning.
Callaway said Cabrera could have stayed in the game, but removed him since it was no longer a close game. The Mets' manager still plans to confirm Cabrera's status before the game on Sunday.
"We'll make sure he's good to go before he plays again," Callaway said.
In 46 games with the Mets this season, Cabrera is hitting .315 with 15 doubles, seven home runs, and 29 RBI.
