Albuquerque 6 - Las Vegas 5: Wilmer Flores' hitting streak reached 17 games after he singled in the opening inning. He later doubled to finish 2-for-4 with a run batted in. The only game Flores has failed to garner a hit since being sent back to AAA was June 26, the first game after his demotion. Cory Vaughn had his first three-hit game since June 8. Binghamton 9 - Erie 3: Dilson Herrera went 3-for-5 with a double to raise his double-A batting average to .330. He's hit safely in 17 of 21 games since joining the B-Mets. Brandon Nimmo was 1-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Jace Boyd smacked his fourth homer of the season in the 4th inning and finished the night with three hits and three rbi. Lakeland 4 - St. Lucie 5 (10): L.J. Mazzilli scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th giving St. Lucie the walkoff win. Mazz doubled to open the inning, pushing his hitting streak to nine games. He's batting .300 since his promotion to the FSL. Maikis De La Cruz and Cam Maron had two hits each. Charleston 4 - Savannah 1: Dominic Smith collected his seventh multi-hit game this month with a pair of singles. Champ Stuart also singled twice and has a hit in eight of his last 10 games. Brooklyn 3 - Connecticut 4: The Cyclones bullpen gave up single runs in the final three innings, capped by Josh Prevost walking home the winning run with two outs in the 9th. Kingsport 8 - Bristol 9: 2014 4th round draft pick Eudor Garcia continued his hot streak, going 2-for-4 with four runs batted in. He hit safely in seven of his last 10 games with four multi-hit games in his last seven starts. Oswald Caraballo also remained on fire, extending his hitting streak to seven games with a 2-for-4 effort, including his fifth double of the season. 2013 2nd round pick Andrew Church was only able to get through one inning on the hill. GCL Nationals 4 - GCL Mets 3: Jeremy Hefner returned to the mound for the first time since having Tommy John surgery 11 months ago and threw a perfect 1-2-3 1st inning. Taylor Teagarden began his rehab assignment as he attempts to return from a strained left hamstring that sent him to the DL June 22. Serving as the designated hitter, Teagarden had three plate appearances and was 0-for-1 with a strikeout, HBP and a walk. >>Read more at
