"My goal is to play Opening Day," David Wright told reporters today in Mets camp.

Wright returned to Florida from New York after being diagnosed with a mild intercostal strain, which the team said will sideline him for 3-5 days.

The injury forced him to withdraw from the World Baseball Classic.

"I like to try to play through injuries. The quicker I can get the pain out of my rib cage the quicker I can play," he said.
