Mets RHP Jacob deGrom limited the Braves to just four hits in seven scoreless innings on Saturday night.
DeGrom struck out 10 batters and walked two while throwing 97 pitches.
DeGrom kept the Braves hitless until Carlos Perez lined a single to right field with two outs in the fifth inning. He escaped trouble in the sixth when Ender Inciarte and Freddie Freeman both were in scoring position but did not score. Inciarte was called out when he came off the bag at third base and Freeman hit a two-out double. DeGrom went on to strike out the side in the seventh.
Braves starter Julio Teheran also allowed four hits and did not allow a run in seven innings of work.
DeGrom pitched at least seven innings for the second consecutive outing. He allowed three runs and struck out 12 batters in 7.1 innings against the Nationals on April 16.
After five starts this season, deGrom now has a 2.53 ERA.
