Now Commenting On:

Dillon Gee was shut down 12 days ago, but recently resumed throwing a baseball from flat ground, multiple beat reporters tweeted before Friday's game.

Terry Collins said earlier this week that it might be 2-3 weeks before Gee returned from the disabled list.

Gee was put on the disabled list in early May with a strained lat muscle, at which time it was said he would only miss two starts.

“This obviously was more than we thought it was going to be," Collins admitted during the team's trip through Chicago (Newsday, June 5).
