Lucas Duda will bat clean-up and start at first base Tuesday night against Nationals left-handed starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez (Mets on Twitter, Aug 5).

Aug. 4: I don’t understand why the Mets refuse to just play Campbell in left field every day. Sure, he may make Daniel Murphy look like a Gold Glove left fielder, but they need his bat right now – and, who knows, maybe he’ll hit, feel comfortable and field better because of the boost in confidence.
