Binghamton has moved 10.5 games ahead of Portland. With Binghamton's overworked pen, Portland's chance to get back into the race has to start now.
As a starter Keith Couch is 2-0 with a 2.18 ERA, including 2 no hit innings against Binghamton in the original start of the game that was just completed yesterday.
In his last five starts Mark Cohoon has allowed 33 hits and 9 walks, striking out 17 over 25 IP, going 5 IP each time.
Cory Mazzoni has been put on the DL, with Alonzo Harris being activated. Unless Harris has learned to pitch he won't be helping the B-Mets much.
Alex Panteliodis has allowed 46 hits and 12 walks with 11 K over 31.2 IP.
edit: Kyle Drabek is making a rehab start instead of Copeland
Robert Gsellman gave up his first earned runs for Brooklyn in his last start. He's allowed 21 hits in 22 IP, walking 3 and striking out 17. He's striking out 18.7% of batters in the NYPL, after posted 13.2% and 11.5% K rates with St. Lucie and Savannah.

Postponed for wet grounds, Kingsport heads to Burlington tomorrow. Kingsport does not return to Danville again this season, therefore the games will be made up when Danville travels to Kingsport for a series July 17-19.
Its getting to the point where they should just play double headers whenever the weather allows, knowing it will probably rain the next day.
Chris Schwinden held Tucson to 3 runs (2 ER) on 8 H and 1 BB with 3 K over 5.2 IP in his last start. On June 21st he allowed them 5 runs on 9 H over 5 IP. Unless a surprise signing or promotion is in the works D J Mitchell and the pen will have to pick up the slack after going 7 innings yesterday.
