Noah Syndergaard continues to steamroll the EL as he makes his case for Mets organizational pitcher of the year. He has allowed 5 hits and 2 walks over his last 16 IP while striking out 16. Unfair!

A+: Jupiter Hammerheads [MIA] (25-29) @ St. Lucie Mets (28-20) ListenFriday 6:30 ET – RHP Scott Lyman (1-2, 6.08) vs. RHP Hansel Robles (5-2, 3.90)

A: Savannah Sand Gnats (25-24) @ Augusta Greenjackets [SF] (30-23) Listen

Postponed by rain.  They will try to play four games over the next two days.

Augusta is leading the SAL Southern for the second half title.

A-Sh: Vermont LakeMonsters [OAK] (27-29) @ Brooklyn Cyclones (27-27) ListenFriday 7:00 ET – RHP Lee Sosa (1-2, 2.73) vs. LHP Carlos Valdez (2-2, 2.58) RHP John Gant (4-2, 2.36)

Lee Sosa is a Bronx native who went to school in Binghamton. He was clearly destined to be an A's draft pick...

Carlos Valdez hasn't allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last five starts, striking out 21 and walking 9 over 25.1 IP.

It would help if the Cyclones own website would announce the correct pitcher.

Robinson Leyer has walked 25 in 45 IP and is allowing batters to hit .303 against him.

Brandon Welch allowed 2 runs (both unearned) on 4 hits and 1 walk over 5 IP, striking out 4, in his last appearance. It was his first start as a pro after three relief outings, all with the GCL squad.
