Now Commenting On:

The Good: Daniel Murphy is hitting .432 (19-44) with nine runs scored and eight RBI since August 28. Murphy is fourth in the NL with 164 hits, tied for ninth in the NL with 33 doubles and is eighth with 82 runs scored.

The Bad: The five home runs Washington hit last night were the most home runs any team has ever hit in a single game at Citi Field and the most the Mets have allowed at home since Milwaukee hit five at Shea on August 2, 2005.

The Game: Dillon Gee (11-9, 3.53 ERA) will start for the Mets. Gee was great once again in his last start against the Braves, allowing only one run in seven innings for his team-leading 11th win of the year. Gee is 9-3 with a 2.40 ERA since May 30 with 87 strikeouts and only 26 walks in 123 2/3 innings over 18 starts during that span. Tonight is Gee's sixth start of the year against Washington - he is 4-1 with a 2.16 ERA in 33 1/3 innings against the Nationals this year.
