Harvey Notes: This will be one of several short starts for Harvey as he closes out the regular season a year after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Terry Collins said before Sunday's game that Harvey is on an innings limit and not a pitch limit of 70 which had been widely reported. . .It's Harvey's first start in 12 days. He allowed a season-high tying seven runs on eight hits but escaped with a no-decision after the Mets rallied for an 8-7 victory. Harvey has given up seven runs three times this year; he had never given up more than five until this season.
Sabathia Notes: Sabathia is 0-1 with a 2.76 ERA in his past six starts and is winless in his past nine, the longest single-season drought of his career. Has allowed 26 homers this year, but just two in the past 32 2/3 innings. . .Cespedes is 1-for-11 vs. Sabathia in his career, Uribe 9-for-47 (.191) and Cuddyer is 12-for-58 (.207)
Mets Notes: Ruben Tejada, who is batting leadoff Sunday, is hitting .367 (11-for-20) with a .441 on-base percentage in September. He has 21 doubles, the most since a career-high 26 in 2012 . . .The Mets are 2-3 against the Yankees this season. . .With Washington's win over Miami Sunday, the Mets' NL East lead is 6 1/2 games with 14 to play and their magic number remained at eight.
Yankees Notes: The Yankees are 5-1 in interleague games after starting the season 5-8. . .They have homered in 12 of 13 games since Sept. 6. . .The Yanks have shut out the Mets in three of the past four matchups at Citi Field. Yankees starters have a 0.81 ERA in the last seven meetings in Queens.
