RHP Noah Syndergaard (13-8, 2.43 ERA) starts for the Mets, while RHP Aaron Blair (0-6, 8.23 ERA) takes the mound for the Braves.
Syndergaard was masterful in his last start, surrendering one earned run on four hits while striking out 10 in seven innings. Syndergaard has given up two earned runs or less in each of his last six starts, allowing a total of six earned runs in that 39.2 inning span.
Tonight will be Blair's first start since Aug. 28 and only his second start since June 24. Blair has completed six innings in only two of his 12 starts this season, and has allowed 11 home runs in 54.2 innings.
