The Mets (80-72) look to bounce back and take the first game of their series with the Phillies (69-83) at Citi Field on Thursday at 7:10 p.m, which you can watch on SNY or follow online.
Seth Lugo (4-2, 2.35 ERA) gets the start for the Mets and will face off against LHP Adam Morgan (2-10, 5.57 ERA) of the Phillies.
Lugo has been amazing for the Mets since entering the team's rotation on Aug. 19. Lugo has not allowed more than two earned runs in his last five starts, and has only given up nine earned runs in 36.2 innings as a starter. In his last outing, Lugo allowed one run on five hits, but struggled with his control, walking four batters.
Morgan has looked a lot stronger in his last few outings, allowing two earned runs or fewer in each of his last four starts. The left-hander has dealt with control issues, surrendering a total of four walks in his last two starts, while only striking out six.
