The Marlins will wear No. 16 to honor their teammate Jose Fernandez, who tragically passed away in a boating accident early Sunday morning.
RHP Bartolo Colon (14-7, 3.12 ERA) will get the start for the Mets and will be opposed by LHP Adam Conley (8-6, 3.94).
Colon has been stellar for the Mets lately, going 4-0 with a 2.35 ERA in his last seven starts. In his most recent outing, Colon pitched 6.2 innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out six. Colon has allowed only six earned runs in his last five starts, spanning 32.2 innings.
Conley returns to the mound for the first time for the Marlins since Aug. 13. In his final two starts before going on the DL, Conley allowed 11 earned runs on 12 hits in only nine innings, walking four batters in each of the two outings.
