The Mets will start RHP Jacob deGrom on Tuesday, his third start of spring training. He has yet to allow a run in six innings this spring, surrendering only two hits and striking out seven batters.
Jay Bruce will get his first start of spring training at first base. Tim Tebow , who picked up his first hit of the spring and made a diving catch Monday, is again with the team and available off the bench.
RHP Lance McCullers will get the start for the Astros. He started 14 games for Houston last season, finishing 6-5 with a 3.22 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. In his first start this spring, McCullers threw two perfect innings, striking out three batters.
The Mets will take on the Marlins at 1:05 p.m. on Wednesday in Jupiter, FL. Matt Harvey will take the mound for the Mets for his third start of spring training, while Miami's Justin Nicolino makes his second start this spring.
