Need to Know: After nearly escaping a bases loaded, none-out jam in the bottom of the first, Jacob deGrom gave up a two-out, three-run double to Chris Johnson that scooted past third baseman Eric Campbell's glove and gave the Braves a 3-0 lead. The Mets drew to within 3-1 in the fourth, plating a run on a sacrifice fly. Braves starting pitcher Julio Teheran kept the Mets off balance for seven innings, and the Braves bullpen - without Craig Kimbrel - did the rest, as the Mets were swept in Atlanta.
Game Ball: Teheran of the Braves, who tossed seven innings of one-run ball.
What's Next: The Mets are off on Thursday.
They kick off a 10-game homestand when they open a three-game series Friday night at Citi Field against the Rangers. Jon Niese gets the start for the Mets, opposed by Nick Tepesch for Texas. The game starts at 7:10 p.m. ET.
