Result: The Mets won their second straight against the Marlins, 4-3, to win their three-game series.

Need to Know: Jacob deGrom turned in his second straight solid start Wednesday night, spinning six innings of one-run ball despite throwing 114 pitches. Kirk Nieuwenhuis drew three walks on the game, but his other at-bat ended with a two-run home run that put the Mets ahead in the fourth inning, 2-1. After Christian Yelich tied the game in the seventh, Travis d'Arnaud added an RBI double in the eighth to regain the lead. The Mets struck out 13 times, including 10 against Marlins starter Tom Koehler, but still managed eight hits on the game. Matt den Dekker had three of them, including a double, and scored a run.

Game Ball: deGrom, who left in line for his eighth win of the season before the Mets bullpen lost the lead.

What’s Next: The Mets have Thursday off to travel to Cincinnati for a weekend series that will complete their six-game road trip. Bartolo Colon (12-11, 4.01 ERA) will face off against Alfredo Simon (13-9, 3.28 ERA) for the Reds, as Colon looks to bounce back from a rough start his last time out, when he allowed six runs to the last-place Phillies.
