Result: The Mets got back on track with a 9-1 win over the Marlins on Tuesday after losing four of their previous five games.

Need to Know: Wilmer Flores was the star of the night, going 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and six RBIs in the blowout win. Flores hit an RBI double in the fourth inning to tie the game, 1-1; and a three-run homer in the fifth to open up a 7-1 lead and a two-run shot in the seventh to provide the final score. Curtis Granderson had three hits of his own, all singles, while driving in one and scoring on a Ruben Tejada two-run double in the fourth. Bartolo Colon allowed a season-high 12 hits over 7 2/3 innings, but just two were of the extra-base variety. The Marlins managed just one run against the right-hander, who walked none and struck out seven en route to his 14th win of the season.

Game Ball: Flores, who tied his career-high for RBIs in his first multi-homer game as a Major Leaguer.
