Now Commenting On:

Yesterday, the Mets agreed to sign free agent OF Curtis Granderson to a four-year, $60 million contract, according to multiple reports.

Granderson did not receive a no-trade clause in his contract with the Mets (Heyman).

This is a little thing in the end - hopefully Granderson is a part of a more positive short-term future with the team and doesn't get traded over the next four years. But, Alderson always talks about wanting payroll and roster flexibility, and having this as an option and an advantage speaks to that desire.
