Mets starter RHP Matt Harvey was hit hard in his first start since coming off the DL.
Harvey struggled with command, and it showed early has he hit leadoff batter George Springer. After an Alex Bregman single in the next at-bat, Harvey let up his first run as Jose Altuve singled home Springer.
Marwin Gonzalez would then double to right field to score Bregman and Altuve to move the score to 3-0. Cameron Maybin should finish a four-run first inning for Harvey with a single to score Gonzalez in the next at-bat.
Unfortunately, the Astros would stay hot in the second inning as Springer launched a two-run homer to left while a wild pitch with bases loaded would make the score 7-0.
After 70 pitches, Harvey finished the day allowing seven runs on eight hits (one homer) with two wild pitches, one hit by pitch, and three strikeouts in two innings.
