On Monday, ESPN released its first chunk of Sunday Night Baseball games for the 2020 MLB season, and the Mets have a few of the primetime matchups.
Here's where New York has been slated thus far:
- April 19 vs. Brewers
- April 26 at Braves
- May 31 vs. Dodgers
So the Mets will be featured on Sunday night early on this season, and they'll have some good competition. Christian Yelich and Milwaukee is a good first matchup, while a division rival a week after is even better. Then, the west coast powerhouse in Los Angeles will be a fun game to watch as well.
Now this is only the first schedule release by ESPN, so the Mets could very well be featured in a few more over the 162-game season. ESPN is allowed to flex games in as well, so depending on playoff runs or better pitching matchups down the stretch, the Mets are always good candidates to find themselves under those bright lights.
